Action: Special Dinner Service

Neat Series invited Associate Artists Philip Cioffari and Jean Lehrman to a dinner with special VIP service. A table was set and reserved in the Whatmore Dinning Hall to seat our distinctive guests. Our aim was to show how small details within a specific context can change the way we relate to it and how a special dedicated attention can make feel taken care of.

Chef Tom Kurtzhals provided us with candles, a tablecloth and nice wine glasses. He also created a delicious menu.

The personal and exclusive treatment reserved to our guests Philip and Jean caused different reactions among the rest of ACA's residents.

Your staff is sullen, insolent, shiftless and pretentious. The food, on the other hand, is excelent.

Mr. Frank Saferellitorowskinoff (aka Guy Richards Smit)

I found the staff to be charming, graceful and delightfully artistic. But my potatoe was cold.

Ms. Cassie Mey

Our two guests also responded very differently to our action/offer. While Philip expressed how touched and grateful he was for "the memorable" night we dedicated to him, Jean labelled our action as "disingenuous", saying that being served is not the same as being taken care of.
